Compare/Contrast Ger v DK

Germany
We rode through many country neighborhoods with simple thatch roofed cottages. Nearly every yard had a beautiful garden.
Otherwise, we rode along the paved dyke path where sheep grazed. Very little time off pavement.

DK
The route bypassed most villages except the busy vacation towns. We rode on a variety of trail types, often taking us on very indirect routes. Fewer gardens but great micro soccer fields (rather than our basketball hoops). The further north we rode, the more it seemed like the Oregon coast.

Germany
Fat beefy cattle
People were polite, but would just say "moin" with no smile attached
We fit in pretty well
All colors of hair with minimal product for guys
No free camping
We ate at a lot of restaurants

DK
Skinny sad looking cattle
People seemed genuinely warm with their "Hij"
Staring at the weird Americans is taught at an early age
ALL kids are blond with spiky hair. Gallons of mousse.
Lots of free camping to the north
We never ate true Danish food

Similars
Kids all show respect and self control. They don't seem to eat as much candy.
People are generally very fit
Small cars drive very fast but are very aware of cyclists. Feels much safer than home.
Very flat & very unpredictable weather
Pilsner is the only beer sold in most stores
